Ardie Savea has 111 caps and 165 points for New Zealand, a forward's output built over a long Test rugby career. At 32, he covers flanker and number 8, and for 2026 Moana Pasifika is the team listed, with Japan Rugby League One as the competition. That combination of Test durability and a fresh club setting frames the essentials.
His career path includes the All Blacks Sevens and Wellington from 2012, then the Hurricanes from 2013 to 2023, with Kobelco Kobe Steelers also on the list. That same year brought the Wellingtonian of the Year supreme award. Those steps explain how a forward built the Test record: early sevens exposure, provincial grounding, a long Hurricanes spell, and a move to Japan.
